Introduction to the MTC Internet Speed Measurement System

The MTC Internet speed measurement system (MTC Speedtest) consists of tools for direct measurement on the and the mobile application. We encourage the use of the mobile app for a better experience and more detailed information.

Laotain Internet users can measure and check their Internet access speed with parameters such as download speed, upload speed, and latency (Ping, Jitter—measured via HTTP protocol).

 

Access, Information Collection, and Purpose of Use?

Information is collected via the websites MTC Testspped mobile app, for a better experience while using our Service, we may require you to provide certain information, including Location data,Call management . • When the user consents, the MTC Speedtest app will access the user’s precise location to get longitude and latitude to help us opmize the area of user how the internet spped overall.
• Call management: In addition to location data, the app also requests permission to manage phone calls on the user’s device. We do not use this permission to make or manage calls on your device; it is used solely to obtain accurate information about the mobile network connection (including 3G/4G/LTE/5G technology and mobile service provider name)
• Automatic measurement mode: The MTC app on Android devices features an automatic Internet connection speed measurement mode (off by default). When enabled, the app will automatically and periodically measure Internet speed at various times throughout the day.

• We do not use vulnerability scanning and/or scanning to PCI standards.
• We only provide articles and information. We never ask for OTPs or passwords.
• We use regular Malware Scanning.
